As a wedding photographer who spends time outdoors with couples, my weather app probably gets more use than any other. It seems like I’m always keeping an eye on it, especially in the winter months when the rains come to California. Nima and Glenn’s Glen Oaks elopement in Big Sur happened to land on one of the stormiest weeks I’d seen in a while. Days before, as we saw the rain settling in, we decided to just lean into whatever came our way and go with it. T H A N K F U L L Y … the rain let up for literally the two hours I was with them. The only rain came from the raindrops shedding themselves from the redwood leaves above.
After their ceremony in the redwoods, we hopped in the old Land Rover and ventured out to the beach for a few photos before the storm came back.
