Anna + Drew | Acre Resort Wedding | Los Cabos, Mexico
Some weddings feel like a place. Anna and Drew’s was one of them.
The Venue
Acre Resort sits tucked into the desert hillside above San José del Cabo. It has palm trees, travertine, and infinity pools that blur into the Sea of Cortez. The quiet there makes you forget the world outside the property exists. It is the kind of venue that does the heavy lifting. You just have to show up and let it.
The Welcome Party
The night before the wedding, Anna and Drew kicked things off in downtown San José del Cabo. Their closest friends and family gathered for a welcome party that started with drinks and ended with everyone laughing too loud. Nobody wanted it to end. It set exactly the right tone for the day ahead.
The Wedding Morning
On the wedding day, April light filtered through the palms and cast long shadows across everything. Anna’s hair caught it perfectly, as did the orchid bouquet and the button-back gown. Meanwhile, Drew and his guys threw on tuxes and carried jackets up sun-drenched staircases. A peacock wandered the pool deck like it owned the place. It might have.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the middle of a palm grove. Guests sat in a circle of black chairs on the grass, with the sound of the ocean somewhere in the distance. Golden hour arrived right on cue. When Anna and Drew walked back down the aisle together, both of them were already laughing. I knew then that I had something.
The Reception
Cocktail hour brought a mariachi duo, mezcal, and warm Baja dusk. Then came dinner under string lights, with white florals, amber glass, and candlelight that made everything look like a memory while it was still happening. Finally, the dancing started. Pacifico cans in hand, the disco ball spinning, nobody was ready for it to end.
An Acre Resort wedding looks exactly like this. Easy. Joyful. Unhurried. The kind of day that earns its photographs.
