Nestled along the rugged cliffs of the Central California coast, this Carmel Highlands wedding is everything we dream about. Yaqi and Gavin chose this breathtaking coastal backdrop for their elegant celebration. The result is absolutely unforgettable.
From the first detail, every element was thoughtfully curated. The embossed deckle-edge vow books and velvet Harry Winston ring box set the tone perfectly. The outdoor ceremony took place on a cliffside deck overlooking the Pacific. Ancient Monterey cypress trees framed the space beautifully. Meanwhile, sculptural arrangements of white hydrangeas, dried pampas, and Spanish moss added organic texture throughout.
A bilingual touch made the celebration especially personal. Chinese calligraphy scrolls for guest messages sat alongside hand-lettered English stationery, honoring the couple’s heritage. Then, as evening arrived, the reception moved indoors to a cozy wine cellar dining room. There, cascading installations of dusty rose orchids and wild greenery transformed the space into something truly magical.
Yaqi wore two stunning looks. First, a sleek strapless gown with a cathedral veil for the ceremony. Later, she changed into a shimmering beaded dress for the evening reception. Gavin, meanwhile, kept it classic and sharp in a black tuxedo all day.
