I’ve been posting a bunch of elopements lately, taken during this season of Covid, to give couples an idea for what that option might look like while their big wedding is postponed of cancelled altogether. Today I wanted post a wedding that’s a little bigger.
Maybe you’re not eloping, but perhaps you know your wedding as it was planned before is definitely not happening… that’s where Aaron and Kristin found themselves in June. Their big wedding got cancelled but they still wanted to have as many local family and friends attend as social distancing could allow. Their newly-planned Stanford University wedding came together in a matter of weeks and couldn’t have been more fitting or special. Both Aaron AND Kristin’s parents met at Stanford while students there, and then they, too, met there. This was more than a campus and a school for them even before, and now it’s the place they got married among their closest humans.
THANK YOU, you two, for deciding to send that first email and ask if I’m available and willing to photograph your wedding. I couldn’t imagine a version of life where I didn’t.
